Dr. Alison Blatt is a Urological Surgeon who offers a full range of general adult urological services as well as specialising in benign voiding disorders, oncology, female urology and stone disease. In addition to gaining specialist qualifications in Urology through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, she has also completed a Master of Surgery from Sydney University and a Clinical Fellowship in Oncology and Robotic Surgery in Cambridge.
Medical Education & Research
Dr. Blatt completed her medical degree at Newcastle University, passing with honours. She spent her training years in various posts around NSW. She held the post of Clinical Lecturer in Urology at Sydney University and has a keen interest in teaching. Her clinical fellowship year was spent at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge practising uro-oncology and robotic surgery with leading UK surgeon-scientist Professor David Neal. After completing her FRACS in Urology, Dr Blatt commenced full-time research studying benign voiding disorders using electron microscopy analysis of the detrusor muscle of the bladder. She received her Master of Surgery degree from the University of Sydney in 2010.
Dr. Blatt remains committed to continuing professional development and has authored and contributed to a number of peer reviewed journal articles as well as writing book chapters for medical texts. She regularly attends professional conferences to ensure she remains up to date with the latest research and advances in urology.

Dr. Blatt has received numerous clinical research awards including the John Lowenthal Medal (2009) from Sydney University, the RACS Foundation Research Scholarship (2007) the Keith Kirkland Award for Best Australasian Trainee (2005), the Christopher Farrell Award for Best NSW Trainee (2003).
